Skin Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy is a minimally invasive clinical treatment for skin rejuvenation and cellular restoration. Microscopic needles are used to penetrate the skin within the epidermis and dermis to create a controlled skin injury or micro-channels in the skin.

These micro injuries during the treatment allow active ingredients to penetrate to the deepest layers of the skin. This then provokes wound healing response, causing an overdrive of cellular communication to produce growth factors, stimulating the production of elastin and collagen in the dermis. In addition, new capillaries are formed increasing blood circulation to the skin. This neovascularisation and neocollagenesis following treatment lead to a reduction of scars and skin rejuvenation, with improved skin texture, firmness and hydration.

Skin needling is effectively used for tightening of the skin, acneic/problematic skin, dyspigmentation such as melasma or age spots; rosacea, enlarged pores, fading stretch marks, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and reduced appearance of scars caused by acne, surgery or thermal burns.
