Non-surgical cosmetic injectables have been around for over two decades. The most popular and well known treatments are anti-wrinkle and dermal filler injections, targeting different areas of concern. Typically, we have used anti-wrinkle injections primarily to relax the muscles of the upper-face – think frown lines and crows feet. Dermal fillers were utilised to enhance lips and cheeks, creating volume where there was none and defining features of the face. Fat dissolving injections are completely different again! We use these to remove unwanted pockets of fat from our body, reducing the size of the area being injected. This treatment is particularly helpful in reducing double chins, which helps to define the jawline and neck.
In recent years, we have seen an increased use of cosmetic injectables. We are now using them for many different areas of the body – not just the face! These comprise of anti-sweat treatments, jawline shaping and slimming, hand rejuvenation, buttock augmentation, reducing bra-bulge and more. The sky really has opened up and the limits to where non-surgical cosmetic injectables end seem to be innumerable!
At Aesthetic Allure, our team specialise in advanced cosmetic injectables. We utilise these treatments to enhance and restore your natural beauty. Our team will conduct a full facial assessment in discussion with you regarding the areas of concern. From here, we will develop a bespoke treatment plan. Your practitioner will discuss details of the treatments, products and the procedure itself. This is your chance to ask as many questions as possible!
The longevity of the products last between three to 18 months. Fat dissolving offers a permanent reduction to the area. The longevity also depends on the type of treatment, where the products are injected and your innate metabolism. Our team encourages you to pop in for a complementary follow up appointment after any treatment. These take place two weeks after your initial treatment for anti-wrinkle and dermal fillers. Follow ups for fat dissolving treatments occur 10-12 weeks after your initial appointment. These appointments are great opportunity to see how the treatment is working for you and of course, see your before and afters!
